The Dream


Have you ever dreamt of taking the checkered flag at your local Speedway, or going fender to fender into the corners? Many of us have and for some of us this dream will become a reality. But for many, this thrill is out of reach.


Now children with disabilities or serious illnesses will be able to have this experience come true. The Racing 4 Kidz Program will be an experience of a lifetime for you and for them!!



Racing 4 Kidz Program!


Our Mission and Desire is to offer to children with disabilities and serious illneses such as Leukemia, the opportunity to experience the thrill of racing, for FREE. This would be a once in a lifetime experience that they and their families would not forget.


Over the next few months Giving Kids Hope, Inc. along with StockCar Extreme and many local racers, will be working towards this goal. We will be approaching many of you to help where you can. We will be talking with track promoters and owners to get them on board as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.


We will be offering ride alongs where ever we are for a nominal cost. Not sure at this time what that will be, so be sure to come back here often as we work through the next few months to make the dreams of children come alive.

Finding Children


We at Giving Kids Hope are working local groups to help us locate children for the Racing 4 Kidz program. We want to thank them for seeing our dream of helping children come true.


Program Guidelines


The following guidlines where set in place by the Giving Kids Hope, board of directors. This will help ensure that we do what we say and that everyone involved in this program has a clear understanding of it's goals.

  • - The Racing 4 Kidz program is designed only for the purpose of raising awareness for children with serious illnesses or disabilities through giving rides to these and other children. It will not be used by anyone, inside or outside of Giving Kids Hope Inc., for personal gain or profit.


  • - The Racing 4 Kidz Ride Along car will only give rides to children.


  • - This program is designed to be completed through donations. Example: time, parts, general assistance, etc.


  • - Giving Kids Hope Inc. will work with Stock Car Extreme to help complete the project and as an additional media outlet.


  • - Giving Kids Hope Inc. is the sole owner of the ride along car and all equipment, parts, supplies, or the like, that have been donated to complete the project as intended.


  • - All requests for the car to be at specific locations must be submitted to Giving Kids Hope Inc. prior to the date required.


  • - The program will be under the direction of the board and be overseen by Executive Director - Frank Dettmar.


  • - The car will visit as many tracks as possible during the racing season as to give adequate exposure to the program and its fundamental design. No one track(s) will get preferential treatment at any time.


  • - The Racing 4 Kidz car is to be at car shows, parades, etc. to help promote the program.


  • - As per our bylaws and the board's agreement set out in the Racing 4 Kidz program, if at any time this program ceases to exist, either by lack of support, lack of funding, or similar circumstance, the said car(s), parts, equipment, etc., will be sold by Giving Kids Hope Inc. and the proceeds donated to one of the Giving Kids Hope Inc. receiving charities.
